Hi there!
Now this is not the most intellectual of posts. I am not claiming that this little treat will alter your beliefs on religion or change your views on the economic climate. I hold my delightfully decorated hands up and say it's basically pictures of my nails that I painted all pretty.
Sorry lads. This one is for the girls.

Oh what's that peaking out from the sheets. Just my Chanel nail varnish. No biggy. Ok again, sorry about how  "Clueless-esque" this is but loads of the really big blogs have multitudes of macro shots of the neatest nails ever. So because I now have 15 followers (hey!) and I'm moving up in the blog world, I figured I better give the people what they want. And I'm pretty positive they want close ups of my nails.. Right?

This is really easy to do. You just need any colour nail varnish and any colour glitter that takes your fancy. Michael's sweet sisters bought me my la-di-da Chanel for my birthday in November. Most of my other nail varnishes are a gloopy mess that probably came free with some form of trendy teen magazine so at least I had something to pretend I'm a fancy nail varnish lady with. Thanks gals!

So you just paint your nails. I did a few coats because it looks better when it's darker in my professional, nail painting opinion. I left the nails that I wanted to put the glitter on bare until the others were dry and then you paint the "glitter nails" and immediately sprinkle on your glitter. Tap off the excess and gently press the glitter onto your nail just to make sure it is stuck on. I did this over Christmas and it lasted about a week.

Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

I was thinking of doing a weekly "memory of mam." Not that I will ever forget these memories but I think you all might like to hear them. The weeks surrounding funerals everybody always sits around and tells their memories of the person who has passed away and then it kind of slows down. People are probably just afraid to upset the persons family but I really liked this time, hearing each persons little anecdote about Mam. Some of them were hilarious, some were amazing, some were heat-breaking, some were just Mam. My memory for today anyway is that Mam's nails were always perfect. They were really long, and filed ever so neatly. And she used to file her nails in inappropriate places and drive me mad...like restaurants. And it was always a very big deal if she broke one which I never understood until I stopped biting mine.
